Don't mix with Dany's case

Mr. Barack Obama,
President - US

Dear President Obama,

We wish to congratulate the President of the 80-20PAC for raising his concern with regard to Danny Chen’s case which we fully agree is much different from Vincent Chin’s.

In short, we ask you to make sure that justice prevail at the end.

Remember we helped you to get elected as indicated below?

Yours respectfully,

JUSTICE FIRST -- Don't mix Danny's case with the other
Fri, 10 Feb 2012 13:49:39 -0800 (PST)

If YOU aim to achieve justice for Danny Chen, then DO NOT MIX
Danny's case with another case of an AsAm soldier committing suicide,
possibly owing to hazing. The other case was much weaker. Two of the
3 culprits have already being tried. The first guilty soldier got a slap on
the wrist. The second one was found NOT guilty yesterday.

Do NOT mix the 2 cases, because OTHERWISE the same type of results
could be handed down to those who bullied Danny Chen. Those who
mixed the 2 cases will have paved the way for that kind of result.

There are 2 HUGE DIFFERNECES between the two cases:
1) The bullying of Danny Chen was clearly racial. The other hazing was
likely caused by the AsAm soldier falling sleep repeatedly during guard
duties in a war zone. See the differences!

2) Danny was a Private, he was bullied by his superiors who actually have
the duty to protect him. The other AsAm was hazed by 3 soldiers, two
of whom were fellow corporals. A subtle but important legal pt.

Our community lacks experienced leaders. Past significant
mistakes by in-experienced Asian Am. leaders include:

(a) The fouling up of the Vincent Chin's case: An Asian Am. prosecution
attorney was possibly tricked into coaching witnesses. It led to a REVERSAL
of a guilty finding, with a 25 years of jail sentence for the culprit, by a
higher federal court. Visit .

(b) Earlier, in Danny Chen's case there was a bandwagon of inexperienced
Asian Am. leaders emphasizing "training programs against hazing" instead
of insisting on "Justice First." 80-20 pointed out that training programs
would he ineffective, if the guilt ones would be let off easy. Immediately,
80-20 started the "Justice First Movement," and stopped that

Congresswoman Judy Chu has joined 80-20's "Justice First Movement."
We thank her.

Don't relax. Another HUGE mistake could be in the making.
Recently, in-experienced Asian Am leaders are MIXING THE TWO CASES
in one breadth.
Ask them to think things through. Perhaps, nudge them to just
follow 80-20's lead.

Is justice for the other AsAm soldier important? YES! Does 80-20
have enough resources to do a good job in both? NO! Hopefully, one
day, with your support, 80-20 will have enough resources to cover
ALL needed cases.

Subject: I want to meet Eddie

Dear Eddie --

There are 20 days until the election. I need you to go all in.

People like Senator Barbara Boxer in California, Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy in Ohio, and Congressman Patrick Murphy in Pennsylvania -- who courageously fought alongside us for change -- are facing millions in retaliatory attacks ads from special interests, made possible by a recent Supreme Court decision.

All around the country, members of Congress who stand up for the middle class are being targeted. Special interests hope to replace our allies with candidates who will give tax breaks to the wealthy, exploding our deficits at the expense of the middle class; privatize social security; even eliminate the minimum wage.

That's why I'm doing all I can, traveling the country over the last critical days of this campaign to support our allies and remind voters of the choice they have in this election. These are the people who stood with us when health reform seemed unlikely, when the banks tried to bully us out of Wall Street reform.

I need you to do all you can as well. Keep organizing, keep talking to your neighbors, and keep donating whatever you can afford.

Will you chip in $5 right now to help win this fight?

Your donation today will not just help put organizers on the ground, resources in the hands of volunteers, or ads online in these final days of the election. Your donation is a statement -- that you and I will not sit back and allow interest groups to buy their way back into power.

And, as Mitch told you earlier this week, your donation will automatically enter you win a trip to Las Vegas to meet me backstage. I'll be there on October 22nd to stand alongside Nevada Democrats and Harry Reid, one of the best majority leaders the Senate has ever had, who has played a critical role in each of the historic victories you and I have achieved. He's one of the people we need to fight for.

There are Democrats like Harry all around the country -- folks who are under siege because they stood up to the status quo. It's up to you to give them a chance to keep fighting. And if you don't do it, nobody will.

I will be out there, making the case with you. And I hope to see you backstage at one of the final, most important, campaign stops I will make this fall.

Please donate $5 to be automatically entered to win a trip to Las Vegas to meet me backstage:

Thank you for all you do,

President Barack Obama
